Letter From Our President

Alex Rhoades

President

Letter from the President On behalf of Alpha Omicron chapter of Delta Gamma at Miami University, welcome! Delta Gamma offers to women of all ages a rich heritage based on principles of integrity, personal responsibility and intellectual honesty. Our purpose is to foster high ideals of friendship, promote educational and cultural interests, create a true sense of social responsibility, and develop the finest qualities of character. At Miami University, Delta Gammas strive to live by our “Do Good” motto every day. We understand that joining Delta Gamma is much more than a four-year commitment; but rather, DG is a way of life. Since 1923, Delta Gamma has been at Miami, and for this, we take pride in our membership. We hold ourselves and our sisters accountable for our actions and challenge each other to grow through our high ideals. By achieving academic excellence every semester, giving our time and resources to the Delta Gamma Foundation, and by participating and taking leadership roles in a variety of clubs and organizations, we inspire our members to leave Miami as well-rounded women. I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to be President of the Alpha Omicron chapter at Miami University. I participated in recruitment freshman year unaware of the life long friendships I would gain, the values I would become attached to, and the incredible experiences I would have throughout my time at Miami as a Delta Gamma. My role as President, although sometimes challenging, has been so rewarding. Reflecting on my experiences in Delta Gamma, I have learned more about myself, I’ve learned the true meaning of sisterhood, and have become apart of an organization much bigger than myself. Our motto, “Do Good,” has become a daily reminder to always strive to be a better person and to be there for those around me. I’m blessed to be apart of DG and I’m so happy to call Delta Gamma home! Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have. Alexandra Rhoades
