Round Layout:
January 29, 2016: Welcome Round Day 1, 5:15 pm - 10:55 pm
January 30, 2016: Welcome Round Day 2, 9 am - 7 pm!
Meet all of the sororities!
January 31, 2016: Philanthropy Round, 8:15 am - 11 pm
Learn about the philanthropy of the sororities on campus and what they represent! Philanthropy is a great part of sororities that allow bonding between sisters, as well as represent the chapter by helping others.
February 4, 2016: Sisterhood Round Day 1, 6:15 pm - 10:40 pm
February 5, 2016: Sisterhood Round Day 2, 5:30 pm - 12 Midnight
Sisterhood round allows the sisters of the sorority a PNM is visiting to exemplify in the best way what their sisterhood stands for, and the strength of their bonds. This includes how they have fun together, live together, and allows their personalties to truly shine through.
February 6, 2016: Preference Round, 12:30 pm - 9 pm
At this point, there will be a mutual connection between the PNM and a sorority or sororities. Here is where the PNM will begin to make her final decision after visiting all of the parties that are remaining for one last time. Following these rounds, the PNM will make a preference list of three sororities in order of choice.
February 7, 2016: Bid Day, 3 pm - 10 pm
The day has arrived! The PNMs will gather together and be recognized by the sorority that has given them a bid and celebrate their new sisterhood! Congratulations, PNMS!
Tips:
- Be yourself! The selection process is mutual, so the best way for your fit to be found is by showing who you are and allowing yourself to open up to great conversation with the sororities!
- We understand it is in the beginning of the semester, and the nights will be late. Do your homework as soon as you get it, don't let it pile up! That way, you can have a fresh mind after you have found your place with your new sorority.
- The midwest weather is tricky! Wear a coat and sweats to the rounds over your clothes to stay warm and change before the rounds start!
- Enjoy yourself! Recruitment, while tiring, is such a fun experience to meet other people and find girls you could bond with for life.
